QDOS Ultrasound provides specialist obstetric and gynaecology ultrasound performed by highly experienced and motivated doctors and sonographers. The rooms are purpose-built, located on the ground floor at 12 Connolly Street, West Leederville, at the rear of Connolly House, which is on the corner of Connolly and Cambridge Streets, opposite SJOG Hospital Subiaco.
We offer pregnancy and gynaecology ultrasound and related procedures, and can offer guidance on the Non-Invasive Prenatal Test (NIPT). In this practice we assess during the live scanning, which gives more information than still pictures. We work as a team where the scan may be performed by a dedicated sonographer or doctor. Particular features of the scan, including any difficult or borderline findings, are covered with or by the doctor. This team approach allows us, and you, more time for the detail of each ultrasound.
Prenatal diagnostic tests (amniocentesis and CVS) are performed by both doctors. Gynaecological procedures such as HyCoSy are performed by Dr Milward.
Dr Bev Hewitt

Dr Hewitt is the only doctor in WA to complete the highly-regarded COGU qualification by examination and thesis.
Dr Kristy Milward
MBBS (Hons), FRANZCOG, DDU
Kristy dreamed of becoming a doctor ever since she was a small girl (the dream to be an Obstetrician appeared in her teenage years). She studied Medicine at the University of Western Australia, and graduated with Honours.
In our team approach, the sonographers are the mainstay of hands-on scanning, and want to give you the best experience in combination with the medical aspects of the scan. All completed the well-regarded Bachelor degree in Imaging Technology at Curtin University, but have gone beyond the usual requirements for ongoing training, education and experience. As well as choosing to specialise in O&G ultrasound for love of the field, they are experienced in paediatric as well as general ultrasound.
Each can individually boast over a decade of experience in Obgyn ultrasound and have participated in giving lectures/ presentations, teaching and committee work. Our sonographers are all caring mothers who can closely relate to the experiences that pregnant women face.
As well as working longterm at Park Ultrasound – now QDOS – Felicity also works in the O&G Ultrasound Service at Joondalup Health Campus, where she is Lead Sonographer. Felicity began her commitment to high standards by topping her year at Curtin.
As well as working longterm with Park Ultrasound – now QDOS – Catherine continues her long association with PMH, now moving to the new Perth Children’s Hospital.
Adele has recently joined us with her strong professional experience. She was a radiographer with the Royal Australian Airforce before training in Ultrasound at WAIT, the previous name for Curtin Uni.
Debbie is our brilliant practice manager and is often that kind person you speak to on the phone. She is the real boss at QDOS Ultrasound (originally Park Ultrasound) which she has been running since 1995. Deb is an amazing proactive person who considers every aspect of the practice to ensure it runs as smoothly as possible.
Kathy is our Senior Receptionist and has been with us since 2008. She also works part time for a private Obstetrician.
Natalie is the newest team member, joining us in 2017. Having discovered Australia while on holiday from Germany, she liked the lifestyle so much that she is now studying at Murdoch and working part time at QDOS.
Eleanor has been with us on a part time basis since 2005 whilst at University. 13 years later she is now the mother of 2 little boys and has recently returned from maternity leave.
